This is a story from indian mithology.once there was a rakshasha named by HIRANYA.He got a boon from god .by it he can not be killed neither in the day nor in the night,and neither by man nor animal and neither in the land nor in the sky and neither in the inside of a room nor in the open and neither by weapons nor without it. Having got this boon he started torturing the people and told people to worship himself. By the time his very own son PRAHALATHA rejected to accept him as GOD and started worship GOD VISHNU.Getting angry over this he asked his son to show the GOD to himself. his son replied 'GOD is everywhere,even in this beam also'.Hearing this Hiranya got very angry and he broke the beam.There came a strange person with lion head and human body.It took HIRANY to the stair of the house and kept him at its thigh and started tearing his stomach with its sharp nails.by this time the sun is half setting.Having satisfied all his desires god killed him.
